The winter's edge blowing easy and free
Drifting snow around the Christmas tree
Our village hidden beneath the clouds
Where kids dreams surround the crowd
Such antiquated charm amongst the cold
As the mountains above encircle our home

Snow covered streets the winds favorite kiss
Horse drawn sleighs full of people and gifts
Caroler's singing together, our Christmas blend
Behind the lamplighter lighting the lane ahead
Hypnotized by the shadows nearing the end
Running home together with my closest friend

Off with our coats snuggled close by the fire
With snaps and pops such a rainbow of color
Yesterdays fables brightening Christmas tales
Separating the happiness running off the scale
Watching the village sleep beneath the clouds
To vary from day to day, invisible from beyond

Just a letter of concern while dividing my thoughts
Oh Santa Clause please be here on Christmas Eve
Between the mountains hidden beneath the clouds
To maneuver the rooftops with reindeer and sleigh
As Santa cleans the chimneys all the way down
Inflated to the brim with his cookies and milk

To full fill our dreams stretched over this year
My wish lists set aside hand written with care
So many eyes that sparkle on Christmas Day
Only the spirit knows Santa always finds a way
To shelter each other with God's love so tender
With Christmas wishes of joy blessed forever.
