Tickling The Ivory

Beyond the beaten path lies Martha's Café

A small inviting spot along the port's edge

Where the wisp of winter's wind, brings a chill

To the slow steady rhythm of falling snow

Slipping through the door, amidst holiday cheer

Piano and player, center stage now an oasis

Melodic tunes, evokes memories from the heart

Capturing the past as Christmas draws near

Listening close, known masters revived

Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and Gershwin

Delicately tickling the deep ivory soul

As octaves of musical waves are felt

Old wooden corner booths, find warmth

Seasonal smiles, welcome family and friends

Here's to a tasty cup of java, away from the cold

Wishing All Peace, Joy and A Merry Christmas
