Unknown to me this tale became
Legends reading past stories today
The man in red sitting by his bed
As Santa Clause one night stayed
To explain Christmas love to Billy
Son of the late William T. Esquire

Remember when the door would open
Dad full of snow pulling the tree behind
Dogs shaking their fur from the cold
As Pinewood smells began to breathe
Christmas tree lights all over the floor
Mom singing carols of praise, echoing

Layered with care amidst prayers of faith
Forever loved, held dear with family tears
Dad's favorite place sitting quietly calm
The gentle nature of father and son talks
Billy my friend, your memories will live
Distributed amidst God's angels above

Fishing those many valleys your dad loved
With friends in passing down other streams
Billy, dad hears your heart, cherished forever
Remembered from when his arms held close
The magic of family that binds with prayers
Given in reality when his spirit became free

Billy, love surrounds your heart with joy
Thanks for allowing me to rest my friend
As time passes my travels will cross again
Through the heavens I'm guided tonight
Such magic is the spirit of Christmas Eve
To capture your memories under the tree
