A Kid's Christmas

Snow falling lightly with anticipation

Streets in white, Christmas vacation

Paths along the way, shoveled at best

Santa Clause at the mall with no rest

Kid's in lines almost two blocks long

Toy stores to shop people wall to wall

Some so full you wish you had wings

All stacked together four shelves tall

Bell ringers on every corner to bring

Seasonal joy making our hearts sing

As Santa Clause takes kid's in stride

Listening to there wishes and cries

Where there dreams will always find

Riding along with Santa Clause tales

Leaving reindeer and sleigh to ride

Around the globe Christmas trees lit

Decorating where kid's can't reach

While catalogs pile looking for gifts

Images become their mind unleashed

One page after another of toys retreat

Invaded by spirits of Christmas Eve

Very tired from their shopping spree

Christmas bows with ribbons so free

Waiting for Santa Clause on the roof

Listening for the reindeers tiny hoofs

Visions across the sky with dreams ease

Nestled with love in there beds of peace

Parents always know the values to seek

Growing inside with the harvest to reap

Held forever in faith on Christmas Day
